Guildford Gazelles end the season on a high!!

The headline news this week has to go to our brilliant Gazelles who finished off their season on Sunday when they travelled to Hampstead Women+ and won a hard fought game 19-24.  Try scorers were Vicky Boothman (2), Lucy Heryet and the winning try was scored by Spencer Hastings who also achieved the incredible milestone of gaining 100 caps for the Gazelles on Sunday.  Katie Davies kicked two conversions – and the result, combined with results elsewhere, mean the Gazelles finish in second place on their return to Women’s Championship South East 2.  This is testament to all the hard work put in week after week in training as well as all of the off-pitch work that goes on behind the scenes to build this amazing squad – every single player along with coaches Merlin O’Donnell, Sarah Sanderson and Rob Voller deserve this reward.  Well done all, we are really proud of you!!

We should also congratulate Trojans Ladies for running away with the league title, they only lost one game this season – to the Gazelles!
