Guildford RFC relies on our volunteers for the club to run smoothly and efficiently. They give their time and enthusiasm to help make our club great.
The phrase ‘before you complain – volunteer’ is a great mantra. They say many hands make light work and at Guildford RFC any help given is all appreciated.
If you are asking "why isn't this being done?" or "surely this could be done better?" the answer is probably because our existing volunteers are fully stretched and need some assistance.
Most of the existing committee members are fulfilling at least two or three roles - they do it because they enjoy it and because they want the club to succeed. You don't have to be a rugby expert to get involved. You may have interest in the game or know nothing about it, but this does not matter as volunteering can be fun, inclusive and rewarding. We always need more people who are willing to help and make a difference.
We understand time is a valuable and not everyone has the time to commit to many long hours. The requirement needed can vary hugely from just a few minutes each week to an hour or two each month. It is up to you and what your skillset can bring to the club.
You can make a difference. Enthusiasm is the key, as long as you have some, we'll count ourselves lucky to have you. There are many roles that you could help out on.
